How to submit grades through the mobile app
Open your First State Bank mobile banking app, open messages, click on send message, click the + button and attach a photo or electronic document file containing the grade card report. In the message section include your name and student checking account number.
Pay for Grades
This account type has two qualification cycles per calendar year. All qualification requirements must be met by the end of each qualification cycle in order to receive the pay for grades rewards. The date range of the grading period on the grade card report must be within the qualification cycle dates in order to be valid. A limit of one grade card report can be submitted during each qualification cycle. Below are the qualification cycles.
- First qualification cycle: August 1st to December 31st. Grade card reports must be submitted on or before December 31st to qualify for the February 5th rewards payment. A limit of one grade card report can be submitted during this period.
- Second qualification cycle: January 1st to June 30th. Grade card reports must be submitted on or before June 30th to qualify for the August 5th rewards payment. A limit of one grade card report can be submitted during this period.
The maximum reward amount is $50.00 per qualification cycle and $100.00 per calendar year. If account qualifications are not met, pay for grades rewards payments will not be made. No minimum balance is required to earn pay for grades rewards.

Account Requirements

- Parent or Guardian must be an owner of account if student under 18
- When account holder turns 22, account will be converted to FSB checking account (new account disclosures and change notice will be mailed in advance).
- $25 minimum deposit to open
Pay for grade rewards amounts may change after account is opened. Minimum to open is $25. Limit one account per social security number. Pay for grades rewards will not be compounded. Pay for grades rewards will be credited to your account on the last day of the second statement cycle after the end of the qualification cycle. If you close your account before pay for grades rewards are credited, you will not receive the accrued pay for grades rewards. Account is not eligible for Bounce Protection.
Qualification cycle means a period in which the qualifications must be met to receive rewards. There are two qualification cycles per year.
Qualifications - To qualify for the pay for grades rewards, you must meet the following requirements during the qualification cycle:
- Submit Grade Card Report: Must submit a current grade card report during each qualification cycle. Grade card reports can be submitted using the bank website, mobile banking app, or in person at any branch location.
- Online Banking: Be enrolled for Online Banking. Please contact us for details on how to enroll.
- Electronic Statements: Be enrolled and receive your monthly account statement electronically. Failure to complete the enrollment process for electronic statements within 45 days of account opening can result in the account being closed at the bank’s discretion. Qualification Information -
- Grade card report must include the following content to be accepted: Student account owners name, school or college name, date range of grading period, final grade/rating received for each class/course taken during the grading period. If the grading system utilized is not the standard A, B, C, D, F system, it will be at the bank’s discretion to determine the appropriate pay for grades rewards amount.
- Submit Grade Card Report: Must submit a current grade card report during each qualification cycle. Grade card reports can be submitted using the bank website, mobile banking app, or in person at any branch location. Grade card reports must be submitted on or before the end date of the qualification cycle. In order to submit a current grade card report, the account owner must use one of the processes listed below.
- Bank website: Go to www.fsb4me.com/studentchecking and click on submit grades, complete the submission form by entering your personal information, and attach a photo or electronic document file containing the grade card report.
- Mobile banking app: Open your First State Bank mobile banking app, open messages, click on send message, click the + button and attach a photo or electronic document file containing the grade card report. In the message section include your name and student checking account number.
- In person at any branch location: Bring a copy of the grade card report to any First State Bank branch location. Bank staff will make a copy/scan the grade card report and return it to the student.
- Online Banking: The application for enrollment in online banking should be completed at the time of account opening or within 30 days of account opening. If the account owner refuses to enroll in online banking the account will not be eligible for pay for grades rewards and can be closed at the bank’s discretion.
- Electronic Statements: Enrollment in electronic statements can be completed using the online banking system to complete the enrollment process. Customers that do not enroll via the online banking system can complete the electronic statement enrollment process by visiting https://my.fsb4me.com/enroll to completing the enrollment process. If the account reaches the end of the regular statement cycle before the account owner has enrolled in electronic statements a paper copy of the account activity statement will be mailed to the customer. Failure to complete the enrollment process for electronic statements within 45 days of account opening can result in the account being closed at the bank’s discretion.
